Dear (name omitted), I certainly understand your concerns. When we post something on facebook, we do it because we feel that it concerns the whole neighborhood. Once it is posted it is very difficult to predict what comments others will post. We try to remove comments that are blatantly racist or anti-semitic but we do not monitor the site 24 hours a day. For the most part, members of our civic association are understanding and community minded individuals. Unfortunately, it is usually the people with a questionable agenda that are the most vociferous. “Please know that the opinions onfacebook represent only a very small minority of us.” Hopefully, you can use this forum to get your side of the issue out into the open as you have already done with your comment.
